1. Acceptance of Terms
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of Haunt Market ("Haunt Market", "we", "us", or "our"), including our website, Discord server, and any related services. By accessing or using Haunt Market, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 13 years old, or the minimum age required to use Discord in your jurisdiction if higher, to use Haunt Market. By using the service, you represent that you meet this requirement and that you are permitted to hold and use a Discord account under Discord's own Terms of Service.
3. Account and Authentication
Haunt Market does not maintain its own username/password system. You sign in exclusively through haunt.gg, which authenticates you against your Discord account. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your Discord account, including your credentials and any connected authentication methods. Any activity that occurs through your authenticated session is your responsibility.
4. Description of Service
Haunt Market is a platform that helps our community discover, list, and discuss the trading of usernames and related digital assets. Listings, vouches, and any transaction details displayed on the platform are provided by users and members of our community, coordinated primarily through our Discord server and website support ticket system.
5. Marketplace Transactions
Haunt Market is a discovery and community-vouching platform. We make reasonable efforts to verify that sellers are authentic and may offer safeguards such as community vouches, designated middlemen, and support team oversight to help facilitate safer transactions. However, these measures do not guarantee the safety, legitimacy, completion, or outcome of any transaction.
Unless explicitly stated otherwise for a specific listing, Haunt Market is not the seller or purchaser of the username or other item, is not a party to the transaction, does not hold funds in escrow, and does not assume responsibility for transactions conducted between users. You engage in all transactions at your own risk and should independently verify sellers, vouches, and transaction details before proceeding.
If a user reports suspected fraud, Haunt Market may take appropriate measures, including reviewing available evidence, investigating the report, restricting or removing accounts or listings, and cooperating with relevant parties where appropriate. However, Haunt Market cannot guarantee the recovery or return of usernames, funds, or other items lost through a scam. Responsibility for the transaction and any resulting loss remains with the parties involved.
6. Vouches and Community Content
Vouches, reviews, listings, and other content submitted by users reflect the views of the individuals who posted them and do not represent an endorsement or guarantee by Haunt Market. We reserve the right to remove, hide, or refuse to display any content that we believe, in our sole discretion, is false, misleading, abusive, or in violation of these Terms.
7. Acceptable Use
You agree not to, and not to assist others to:
- Use the service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of Discord's Terms of Service or Community Guidelines
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any account, system, or data belonging to Haunt Market or another user
- Interfere with, disrupt, or attempt to bypass the security, authentication, or rate-limiting mechanisms of the platform
- Post false, fraudulent, or misleading vouches, listings, or reviews
- Scrape, harvest, or otherwise collect data from the platform outside of normal, intended use
- Impersonate any person or entity, or misrepresent your affiliation with any person or entity
8. Intellectual Property
The Haunt Market name, logo, website design, and underlying software are the property of Haunt Market and its licensors and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works based on our platform without express written permission, except as permitted by applicable law.
9. Third-Party Services
Haunt Market relies on third-party services, including Discord and haunt.gg, for authentication. Your use of those services is governed by their own terms and privacy policies, and Haunt Market is not responsible for their availability, accuracy, or conduct.
10. Disclaimers
Haunt Market is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure, or that any listing, vouch, or transaction facilitated through the community is accurate or trustworthy.
11. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Haunt Market and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits, data, goodwill, or digital assets, arising out of or related to your use of the service or any transaction conducted with another user, even if advised of the possibility of such damages.
12. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Haunt Market, its operators, and affiliates from any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of your use of the service, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any rights of a third party.
13. Termination
We may suspend or terminate your access to Haunt Market at any time, with or without notice, for conduct that we believe violates these Terms, is harmful to other users, or is harmful to our business or reputation. You may stop using the service at any time by logging out and revoking Haunt Market's access from your Discord account settings.
14. Changes to These Terms
We may revise these Terms from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision. Your continued use of Haunt Market after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
15. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which Haunt Market operates, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of the service shall be resolved in the courts of competent jurisdiction for that location.
